Welcome to Three Cedars Farm Retreat Center, where we invite you to step into our world, a tranquil 122-acre farm nestled in the serene countryside. At its heart stands a lovingly remodeled two-story farmhouse, a historical gem originally constructed in 1910. This land has a story, and it’s a tale deeply entwined with our family’s roots.
Back in 1945, this farmhouse became a cherished part of our family when my grandparents, Elmer and Helen Jolliff, acquired it. Grandpa Elmer planted the three cedar trees that now grace our front yard during their very first year here. Those trees have since grown tall and strong, mirroring the farm’s enduring spirit.
It was Grandma Helen Jolliff who lit the spark of creativity in me when I was just 9 years old. She taught me the art of quilting, a spark that ignited a lifelong passion within me.
In 1953, my parents took over the farm after my dad completed his service in the Army. For nearly seven decades, they nurtured both the land and the family legacy until their passing in 2021.
When Three Cedars Farm passed into my hands, I faced a dilemma. I couldn’t bear the thought of selling or renting out my childhood home. So, I found myself doing what I always do when I need to think – on a tractor, working the land. And that’s when it struck me like a lightning bolt of inspiration: why not transform Three Cedars into a Retreat Center?
And thus, that moment of clarity led us here, to this moment, where we’ve turned our beloved farm into a haven for retreat seekers. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter, a crafting enthusiast, part of a Bible study group, or simply someone yearning for a weekend escape, Three Cedars Farm is your canvas.
